I make turned wooden bowls, platters, hollow forms, vases, lamp bases, and the occasional lidded box, using predominantly native species sourced from fallen trees, local saw mills, wood yards, and other sustainable sources.
I exhibit my work at 11welbeck Artists Open Houses, Bovey Tracey Craft Fair, Hever Castle Artists Fair, Lewes Artists and Makers events and other local creative outlets.
I have received commissions from Margaret Howell Interiors in London and Freight Shop in Lewes.

Unique turned wood pieces to enhance your life.
Wood also reacts to sunlight and heat over time by bleaching and shrinking, so It is important to show your piece some love and care.
Dust: use a dry, lint-free cloth.
Clean: remove any accidental splashes as swiftly as possible with a dry, lint-free cloth
Wax: Re-waxing will restore moisture in the grain. Beeswax is plentiful, cheap and ideal. Put a smear on a lint-free cloth (I should start selling lint-free cloths) and work it around and into the surface of the wood. Add another smear if required. allow to dry and buff to your desired sheen.
Oil: Re-oiling will retain freshness and restore moisture in the grain. Mineral oil is perfect - apply in multiple, thin coats rather than one, all-at-once coat. Spread with a lint-free cloth or paper towel and allow complete absorption overnight before applying any further coats. Mineral oil will never dry, so any excess must be wiped off.
Wash: Hand wash a bowl or platter immediately after use. Avoid soaking in water. Use a soapy sponge and a generous rinse. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
Do not use olive oil - there is a risk it may become rancid and odorous.
Please anticipate that the colour and texture of your wood will evolve over time. This is an inherent part of using natural materials.

Towner's Christmas Fair is a must ahead of the festive season and this year, for the first time, they are extending the fair across two long weekends, showcasing different makers each time, for the ultimate pre-Christmas event.
Craft Festival is one of the most prestigious and much loved craft events in the UK. Over 200 of the UK’s finest makers will be exhibiting and this year’s programme is brimming with workshops for all ages, demonstrations, children’s activities and entertainment, street theatre, festival food and live music.

The Makers Fair opens its doors at a new venue in the centre of Brighton - The Old Market - for a 2 day event on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June 2023, from 11am to 5pm both days.
The debut fair at Brighton's newest maker venue. We have a cake baker, an illustrator, a fragrance and incense creator, a glass collector and photographer, a clothes maker, and a bespoke bowl maker too, with workshops above the makers' space! https://www.liberationartgallery.com/
