Olive Dish

A small footed Olive dish retaining the Olive wood scent and full of character. The dish was turned wet, meaning the water content was relatively high, perhaps 30%. Not as high as green or recently felled wood (50%) but far higher than air dried (18%) or kiln dried (12%) wood. The result is a dish whose weight belies its size and will slowly and subtly move as moisture leaves the piece in its new home.
