Turkey Oak Platter

Characterful Turkey Oak platter or shallow dish. As it was turned with a high moisture content - about 22% - half way between living tree and kiln dried, drying and movement has continued post-turning. This movement is evident in a mild warp at the rim and textual changes between the darker heartwood and paler sapwood.
